Ex-RSA CEO named as Lloyd's council deputy chairman

Andy Haste

Former RSA group CEO Andy Haste has been unveiled as senior independent deputy chairman on the council of Lloyd's.

Mr Haste - whose three-year term will begin on 1 November 2012 - boasts more than 30 years' international financial services experience.

Previously, he was RSA group chief between 2003 and 2011, as well as CEO at Axa Sun Life.

He succeeds deputy chairman, Dr Andreas Prindl CBE, who is retiring.

Speaking about his role, Mr Haste commented: "In Vision 2025, Lloyd's has an exciting strategy for extending its brand in new international markets.
