Six arrests in Welsh alleged fraud ring

Gwent Police have arrested six people as part of an on-going investigation into a suspected ‘Crash for Cash’ fraud ring.

Officers made the arrests following an investigation into suspicious claims referred by insurers and the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB).

The IFB highlighted that the arrests this week marked the latest stage of Operation Dino, which has already seen 34 people arrested, all of whom remain on police bail.

The bureau added that the investigation focused on a repair garage called ‘EASIFIX', formerly known as ‘St David's Crash Repair'.
