NIG sales director out in management reshuffle

Direct Line Group has confirmed that Dave Parry is standing down as sales and distribution director at NIG.

Mr Parry joined in November 2009 from AIG in Paris and previously held senior roles at Zurich and Independent Insurance among others.

Insurance Age understands that his responsibilities will be taken on by Steve Scott and Alistair Body, who have been appointed as regional sales directors, Mr Scott overseeing the North, and Mr Body overseeing the South.

Chris Woollam will continue in his role as director of key accounts, with responsibility for national accounts, and all three will now report

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin

Aviva is committed to pushing on with an “absolute focus on customer” and will continue “doubling down”, David Martin, managing director for UK commercial and chief distribution officer, told Insurance Age as he teased a “major new proposition” pencilled in for the end of the third quarter will catch brokers’ eyes.
