Ink Insurance MD placed on gardening leave
The managing director of Ink Insurance Mike Smith has been placed on gardening leave, Insurance Age can reveal.
Insurance Age understands that Mr Smith - who joined Ink in March 2010 - left the Giles-owned underwriting agency this week to pursue new interests.
Giles has declined to comment.
Before joining Ink Mr Smith had been the sales and marketing director at Provident for three years.
Previously, he was director of marketing and channel for Link and Zenith's European operation. He has also worked at both Chubb and Independent Insurance.
