Axa promotes one of its own to head of large loss

Axa Commercial Lines and Personal Intermediary has appointed Martin Steward as head of large loss.

He was previously manager of the provider’s large loss unit property team.

He worked at Guardian Insurance before it was bought by Axa in 1999, when he took on the position of claims team leader within the global risks division.

In his new role, Mr Steward will be responsible for ensuring that large and complex claims are handled efficiently and cost effectively, as well as developing the large loss claims strategy.
