Arc Legal expands presence in Northern Ireland

Arc Legal Assistance has partnered with Open + Direct to provide its Northern Ireland customers with family legal protection products.

The range offers cover for personal injury, contractual and property disputes and employment matters including unfair dismissals.

Customers of Open + Direct, which is part of the Swinton Group, also have the option of purchasing a ‘diamond’ package which extends the cover to include clinical negligence, personal identity theft, data protection and school admission disputes.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
