Marsh parent company CEO stands down

Brian Duperreault will step down as chairman and CEO of Marsh & McLennan Companies at the end of 2012.

Mr Duperreault, who has also worked at Ace and AIG during his almost 40-year career in insurance, joined Marsh in 2008.

He will be replaced by Daniel Glaser, who is currently group president and chief operating officer at the broker.

Mr Glaser began his career at Marsh 30 years ago, and rejoined the company in 2007.

Lord Lang of Monkton, chairman of Marsh’s board of directors, said: “We are immensely grateful to Brian for the significant turnaround the Company accomplished under his stewardship
