Chaucer raids Ace for new catastrophe risk head

Mr Barter - who has previously spent 10 years at Hiscox - was also head of catastrophe risk at Ace.

In that role he was responsible for catastrophe modelling results, technical expertise and risk management reporting.

Speaking about Chaucer's latest addition, Bruce Bartell, chief underwriting officer, said: "Nick has a strong combination of both technical expertise and operational experience in managing and optimising catastrophe risk, and we are extremely pleased that he has joined Chaucer."
