Lorica opens Leeds office

Lorica Insurance Brokers has opened a new office in Leeds, the sixth in its branch network.

The office will be led by Daniel Schofield who was previously director at DE Ford Insurance Brokers in York and more recently area broking and business unit director at Towergate, Leeds.

The firm said that the move was evidence of its continuing ambitious growth plans.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
