Cooter on gardening leave from QBE and tipped for RSA return

Simon Cooter

Simon Cooter has stepped down from his role at QBE.

The insurer said Mr Cooter's departure decision was made by mutual agreement, and a spokesman said the company “wishes him all the best for the future”.

Mr Cooter joined QBE when it acquired Brit’s UK regional business in April 2012.

He originally join Brit UK in March 2007 as distribution director having left RSA in November the year before.

The move saw him reunite with former RSA colleagues Peter Burrows – who was CEO of the unit and Ray Cox – who was then underwriting director and later took
