Rural Insurance looks to the South West with sales swoop

The Harrogate-based insurer hired Dean Holloway - previously of Jelf - who will report to head of sales, Dean Robertson.

Rural managing director Simon Stevens said the appointment was part of the firm's strategy to expand into the region.

He said: "Dean's remit will stretch from Southampton in the east, up as far as Swindon and then all the way down to Penzance."

"Our aim from the start has been to double the size of Rural by 2015 and become a top three player in the market segments we compete
