Axa UK to "bring together" commercial and personal lines

Axa UK has revealed it will bring together its commercial and personal lines broker businesses under the leadership of Amanda Blanc.

The insurer said the combined business will focus on strengthening its capabilities and propositions in the intermediated market.

In a statement Axa UK also said the new system would target "leveraging the synergies that exist across the channel".

It follows the departure last month of Swiftcover founder and Axa personal lines chief executive (CEO) Steve Hardy.

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin

Aviva is committed to pushing on with an “absolute focus on customer” and will continue “doubling down”, David Martin, managing director for UK commercial and chief distribution officer, told Insurance Age as he teased a “major new proposition” pencilled in for the end of the third quarter will catch brokers’ eyes.
