UK General agrees £1m of new schemes

UK General has signed two new schemes worth more than £1 million GWP as the insurer targets growing its portfolio to 500 schemes.

Tony Bloomer, UK General's head of commercial schemes, described the deals as further proof that the schemes market offered opportunities for brokers seeking a competitive advantage.

The Leeds-based specialist insurer has targeted hitting 500 schemes over the next 12 months - up from approximately 400 in April this year.

Mr Bloomer, who joined UK General in March this year, said market research had convinced the business to target further scheme growth among brokers.
