RSA and The Co-operative unveil motor recovery deal

RSA and The Co-operative Insurance have announced a bilateral agreement aimed at settling outstanding motor recoveries.

The deal is designed to remove frictional costs, limit the need for claims handlers to get involved and speed up the payment process.

It follows the High Court decision earlier this month confirming the legality of RSA's repair model.

Chief executive, UK and Western Europe, Adrian Brown, said: "Our recent court victory proved that RSA's repair model is legal; however, there remain industry wide issues that need to be addressed to reform the dysfunctional motor market.
