Oval’s Peter Blanc looks to the future
Peter Blanc, chief executive of Oval Group, has scotched rumours of the broker being up for sale and laughed off the suggestion of an IPO.
"We are so far off the scale for an IPO," he stated. "I don't even think that Towergate is big enough for an IPO and they are miles bigger than us."
He clarified: "Towergate absolutely could do an IPO but like any business if you are going to run an IPO in the UK then you need to be quite a lot bigger than Towergate and you need a lot of blue sky ahead of you.
