Gable launches new ATE product range

Gable Holdings has unveiled a new range of After the Event (ATE) insurance programmes for the UK.

The company said the products were part of its drive to capitalise on the growing market as it targeted £3m in annualised gross premiums.

In the offing will be direct ATE which will protect either claimants or defendants in the event of unsuccessful commercial litigation.

A litigation fund to provide protection in case of a recovery failure in the fund's independent ATE cover has also been launched.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
