Giles' Chester office restructured

Giles Insurance Brokers has confirmed the restructure of its Chester office with micro SME business moved to another office.

Insurance Age understands that the headcount at the office was reduced from fifteen to five when the change occurred earlier this year.

Brendan McManus, chief executive at Giles, told Insurance Age: "Chester was part of a reorganisation around the sector focus. We have moved a proportion of the micro SME business from Chester to another office. That is part of normal reorganisation of business to get efficiency."

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
