Towergate goes to RSA for new broking division chief

Towergate Insurance has appointed Mike Lawton as chief executive of its broking division.

He joins from RSA, where he had been director of the UK mid-market division since the beginning of 2009, and fills the role left vacant following David Partington's resignation at the end of 2011.

In his new position Mr Lawton will manage the strategic growth plans for more than 40 regional broking businesses across the UK.
