ALPS launches new product range following broker consultation

Auto Legal Protection Services (ALPS) has launched a range of six legal expenses insurance (LEI) and assistance products.

The range comprises commercial, landlord and family LEI products, new home emergency assistance packages for landlord and homeowners and motor excess protection insurance.

Matt Field, head of sales and marketing at ALPS, said it was an opportune time to provide brokers with a range of products that would outperform expectations, given that many add-on services have “supposedly been found lacking for their scope and coverage”.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
