Ace UK president leaves to join QBE

QBE has appointed a new deputy CEO of its European operations.

Richard Pryce, who has left his role as president of Ace UK to take up the position, will be based in QBE’s London office and will report to Steve Burns, CEO of QBE European Operations.

Mr Pryce has worked in the London insurance market for 30 years and at Ace he was responsible for its London market speciality business, including Lloyd’s operations, and the company’s property and casualty insurance business in the UK and Ireland.

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin

Aviva is committed to pushing on with an “absolute focus on customer” and will continue “doubling down”, David Martin, managing director for UK commercial and chief distribution officer, told Insurance Age as he teased a “major new proposition” pencilled in for the end of the third quarter will catch brokers’ eyes.
