Brightside posts record results for ninth consecutive year

Brightside Group has reported an almost 35% increase in profit, to £13.6m in 2011 from £10.1m in 2010

EBITDA increased by 37% to £18.5m for 2011, compared with 37% in 2010.

The positive results also saw revenue increase by 21.5%, from £66.2m in 2010 to £80.4m last year.

The figures were achieved with the Bristol-based broker reporting a 30.7% uplift in insurance policy sales to 444,189 [2010: 339,916].

Arron Banks, chief executive of Brightside, highlighted that 2011 was the ninth successive record year for the company.
