HDI-Gerling hires liability underwriter from rival
HDI-Gerling has signed a new liability underwriter as the industrial specialist bids to grow its international portfolio.
James Blanco, who has been appointed senior liability underwriter, has joined from HCC Syndicate at Lloyd’s where he was international casualty underwriter.
Mr Blanco previously held underwriting positions at RSA and XL.
His focus will be on the underwriting and development of international liability business in HDI-Gerling’s Major and Global division and will report directly to Mark Appleton, liability underwriting director, UK and Ireland.
