Axa Commercial takes new approach to schemes business

Axa Commercial Lines is to implement a new approach to its schemes business which it believes will allow brokers and insurers greater control of schemes.

Axa’s news system will record individual policy information, as opposed to lumping all policies together, allowing, the insurer believes, quicker transmission of data and delivering a slicker debiting process resulting in less time wasted by brokers on queries.

It will also allow access to greater management information which will allow brokers to ‘interrogate’ the performance of schemes more effectively.

In addition, the new model gives Axa’s claims team immediate access to individual

ABI records 3% home premiums rise in Q1

Average home insurance premiums for buildings and contents cover rose by 3% to £375 in the first quarter of this year, pushing the year-on-year rise up to 19%, according to the Association of British Insurers.
