Seán Quinn faces jail over contempt of court charge
Contempt of court proceedings have been initiated against Seán Quinn and two family members, the Irish Times has reported.
According to the newspaper, the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation (IBRC), formerly Anglo Irish Bank, has applied to the High Court to have Mr Quinn, his son, Seán Quinn Jr, and his nephew, Peter Quinn, found in contempt of court over breaches of an injunction.
The injunction, issued in July 2011, ordered the Quinn family not to move certain assets overseas, following allegations by IBRC that they were trying to put assets beyond its reach.
