Ageas confirms it is suing Kwik-Fit
Ageas has confirmed it is to take legal action against Kwik-Fit.
The insurer responded to media reports which stated the case had arisen out of liabilities it was not made aware of at the time of the Kwik-Fit Financial Services deal.
A statement issued by the company read: "This warranty claim is linked to an accounting liability.
"It does not relate to the day-to-day Kwik Fit Insurance business and will not have any impact on its operations either now or going forward.”
Ageas also said it could not make further comment on the matter as the claim was ongoing
