New head of sales at PHP

The Private Health Partnership (PHP) has appointed Andrew Middleton as head of sales.

Mr Middleton previously worked at MLP Healthcare, which was acquired by PHP in 2004.

Most recently he held the position of manager of personal lines and SME at the PMI intermediary.

In his new role, he will be responsible for sales and renewals across the UK, covering individuals, SME and corporate business.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
