Groupama broker insists business as usual despite sale

Brian Solis The End of Business as Usual

Graham Lark, chief executive of Lark Group, has told Insurance Age he believes it is business as usual for the broker following the news of Groupama putting its UK business up for sale.

Mr Lark confirmed he had been informed of Groupama’s intentions to sell its UK operations before the news broke but that it did not come as a surprise given all the speculation in the press over recent months.

While he stressed it was too early to say what the next step in the process would be, he explained: “Groupama are a shareholder in our business but that is as far as it goes, and as far as we are concerned we will carry on.”
