Select Committee report focuses on whiplash claims and referral fees
The Transport Select Committee has called for the bar to receiving compensation for whiplash to be raised and for the receipt of referral fees to be banned across the board.
The calls came as the Committee followed up the government's response to its original report in March 2011 on the cost of motor insurance.
However, the Committee took a swipe at the insurance industry for not doing more to resolve the issues that have plagued the motor market of late.
