FOS proposes changes to case fee structure


The government body said it recognised that the current “one-size-fits-all” approach to charging businesses for its work did not “fully reflect the differing circumstances of case fee payers”.

It has proposed that businesses using its services be divided into three categories – smaller users, moderately-sized users and larger users.

Should the FOS’s proposals be implemented, smaller users, who deal with complaints infrequently, would continue to pay the minimum levy.
