Axa loses London sales chief

The financial centre of City of London with Swiss Re Building and London bus

Axa Commercial Lines' head of sales for London, Jamie Lewis, has resigned from the company, although a spokeswoman for the insurer would not confirm when he had done so.

She added that the company was actively recruiting for a replacement.

Mr Lewis has held a number of posts at Axa over the last three years, including head of mid-market distribution and strategic development manager. Prior to joining Axa, he spent four years at NIG.

Axa Commercial Lines' London branch is thought to account for around £175m of premium, over 20% of the insurer’s commercial revenue.
