Three new directors for MGAA

The Managing General Agents Association (MGAA) has appointed three new directors to its board.

Mike Smith, managing director at Ink Insurance, Nick Hales, managing director at Underwriting Risk Services and Andreas Loucaides, chief executive of Jubilee Managing Agency, will join seven existing directors.

They will remain on the board until February 2012, when the MGAA will hold its inaugural board and committee elections.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
