Towergate restructures in wake of senior departures

Towergate is to form a new division dedicated to SME business in the wake of two senior departures.

As revealed by Insurance Age, Robert Rees, former MD of Your Insurance, has left the business for fellow consolidator Jelf and Nigel Palmer has handed in his resignation as MD of Riskline Oxted.

It is understood that Mr Palmer is facilitating a handover.

The resignations mean that Towergate has lost two senior managers from its SME businesses and Insurance Age understands that this has prompted the formation of a new SME division within the company’s sales and service division.

The new division
