Donaldson insists brokers come first at RSA

paul-donaldson

RSA’s Paul Donaldson has reaffirmed the insurer’s commitment to the broker market while dismissing rival insurer strategies, as “sound bites”.

Speaking exclusively to Insurance Age, RSA’s new global broker relationship and sales director, said he was convinced that brokers would always be the first and most significant distribution channel for commercial insurance and that he saw no signs of that changing.

He did agree that margins were under pressure across the market and that brokers were finding it tough.

“If you have a difficulty you have to deal with it and that might mean changing the management or even business model,” he said.
