Miles Smith makes two acquisitions

The Lloyd's building

Lloyd’s broker Miles Smith has bought wholesaler motor fleet specialist Parker Norfolk and the UK operations of RL Davison.

The company, which has Amlin as a minority shareholder, claimed the acquisitions gave it greater reach to UK brokers as well as providing a wider product and service offering to its own staff.

Parker Norfolk, which was acquired in October, has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Miles Smith. Its team of six will continue to trade from its Sudbury offices and under the Parker Norfolk brand.

RL Davison will join on 1 December and has transferred its UK motor and commercial London market operations
