Broker Expo: Delegates warned that tougher FSA is already here
Brokers have been warned that the Financial Services Authority’s (FSA) long-promised new intrusive approach is already here and that it is not “pussyfooting around anymore”.
The warning was delivered in a regulation workshop by Terence Clark and Ian Ritchie of RWA Group at the 2011 UK Broker Expo. They also urged brokers to log the work undertaken on compliance in order to be able to provide evidence of it in action.
"The sabrerattling that's coming out of Canary Wharf is of more intrusion," said Mr Ritchie.
He also predicted the Financial Conduct Authority could now arrive late in the first quarter or early in the second quarter of 2013 rather than in 2012 as
