Biba merges with IIB
The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (Biba) and the Institute of Insurance Brokers (IIB) have merged to provide one trade association and lobbying voice for general insurance brokers.
As of 1 November 2011 a number of the IIB board directors have joined Biba's board including Barbara Bradshaw, chief executive at the IIB, who has also become a member of the Biba executive reporting to Biba's chief executive Eric Galbraith.
Ms Bradshaw will have specific responsibility to integrate the IIB's membership and develop a new group focused on the issues that affect smaller firms. This will cover all Biba regions and, working with the resource of the combined organisations, has been
