County unveils new consolidator

County Group has launched County Insurance Northwest with the aim of acquiring 15 brokers in the North of the UK over a five year period.

The consolidator, which started on 1 October, claimed it aimed to provide a business continuity solution for brokers that was flexible and protected businesses' legacies, including keeping and protecting brands, staff and premises.

The company, run by Alastair Christopherson, based in Preston, and Phillip Knight, based in Manchester, claimed to already be in discussions with up to four brokers and while it would focus on acquisitions in the North would purchase elsewhere if suitable. It added

Applied updates on commercial push

Applied Systems has confirmed Arch Insurance is about to enter the pilot phase of onboarding and will be live on the Applied Epic broker management system in April, with Iprism and Ark to follow and more promised in 2024.
