Ecclesiastical aims for growth in Ireland with new MD

Ecclesiastical has appointed a new managing director for its Ireland business.

David Lane has joined from global financial security company Genworth Financial where he most recently held the position of managing director, Western Europe, of their Lifestyle Protection business.

Prior to this Mr Lane held senior roles at Transamerica Insurance Finance Company and Irish Life Finance Group (now KBC Bank) and has more than 22 years’ experience in the Irish financial services sector.

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin

Aviva is committed to pushing on with an “absolute focus on customer” and will continue “doubling down”, David Martin, managing director for UK commercial and chief distribution officer, told Insurance Age as he teased a “major new proposition” pencilled in for the end of the third quarter will catch brokers’ eyes.
