NIG hires from rivals to grow London SME book

NIG has made two senior appointments to its London office in a bid to secure a greater share of the London SME market.

The RBS-owned firm has hired Louise Field, who was made redundant from Axa this year, as area underwriting manager and Ruth Owen, who is to become area business development manager, has joined from Chartis UK.

Ms Field will report to Stuart Webb, NIG’s head of regional trading, and lead a 45-strong team of underwriting and service professionals focused on the London SME market. She spent 11 years at Axa, the last three as national manager - property owners.
