Andrew Torrance succeeded by former Swiss Re chief at ClimateWise

ClimateWise, the global insurance industry’s leadership group to reduce the risks of climate change, has appointed former Swiss Re CEO John Coomber as its new chairman.

He replaces Allianz chief Andrew Torrance, who has completed his three year tenure.

Commenting on his new role, Mr Coomber said: “Recent events have shown how vulnerable the world’s inter-dependent economies are to risks that at first appear to only affect one part of the system.

Applied updates on commercial push

Applied Systems has confirmed Arch Insurance is about to enter the pilot phase of onboarding and will be live on the Applied Epic broker management system in April, with Iprism and Ark to follow and more promised in 2024.
