New legal counsel for RBSI

RBS Insurance (RBSI) has announced the appointment of Humphrey Tomlinson as general counsel and company secretary.

His role will include the task of building standalone legal and secretariat functions, in order to facilitate the sale of RBSI, expected in 2012.

Mr Tomlinson has more than 20 years’ experience advising on legal risk management, corporate governance issues and corporate and commercial issues. He was previously group legal director at RSA Insurance Group, and before that worked at City law firm Ashurst.
