Motaquote will still expand branch network, says Lombard

Nigel Lombard

The chief of CCV-owned Motaquote has vowed to continue to expand its branch network despite confirming the closure of seven of its 14 offices in South Wales.

Speaking to Insurance Age, managing director of the broker, Nigel Lombard, said: "There's no way of denying that the branches have closed. The change has been in accordance with market conditions. The decision has been painful for a number of people but it needed to be done in order for Motaquote to be successful."

When Mr Lombard was appointed as MD in 2009 he said he would lead an aggressive growth programme with focus on expanding the branch network and customer base in the South Wales area.
