Quinn issues mass refund after overcharging customers

Quinn has had to refund 20,500 customers after it failed to give them an agreed discount.

According to the Irish Independent, the customers were supposed to get a discount for having more than one type of insurance with the company.

When contacted by the Irish newspaper, Quinn admitted it had overcharged its customers.

The insurer said: "Quinn Insurance (under administration) confirms that, as part of a recent routine evaluation of processes and procedures, it identified an error which resulted in some customers with multiple policies not having their multi-product discount correctly
