Chris Hanks' replacement as CII president elected
Julian James has been elected 115th president of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
Mr James is chief executive officer of Lockton Companies International and he takes over from Chris Hanks, general manager of Allianz UK.
Elected as deputy-president alongside Mr James was Amanda Blanc chief executive of Axa Commercial.
Commenting on his election as president, Mr James said: “It’s a great honour to take the presidency of the CII and I am fortunate that my year in office coincides with the centenary of the CII receiving its Royal Charter.
