Aspen makes new senior appointment

Aspen Insurance has appointed a new manager of distribution and business development in the UK.

Jonny Atkinson will be based in London and will report to Rupert Villers co-chief executive officer of Aspen.

Mr Atkinson has 20 years of broking experience most recently at RK Harrison Group. He began his career working for J&H Insurance where he developed an expertise in professional liability and in 2000 he moved to JLT as a partner.

After three years placing professional and managed care he relocated to their Bermuda office and in 2005 he joined Willis, initially running the Bermuda office
