No resignations, no regrets says Homer
Andy Homer has confirmed that Towergate came close to making an internal appointment ahead of its decision to poach Mark Hodges from Aviva for the chief executive role.
Mr Homer told Insurance Age: "The big news has tended to focus on the fact that Aviva has lost Mark and we've gained him [but] not much has been said about the internal candidates.
"The internal candidates ran him very close. They were very, very good contenders. I think one of the reasons he is coming is he has got a great team to lead from day one."
He accepted that the candidates beaten to the post would have "a sense of disappointment" but said he saw no threat of upcoming resignations
