Hastings Direct makes latest senior appointment

Hastings Direct has appointed a new managing director of retail.

Tobias van der Meer was previously a managing director at moneysupermarket.com where he was responsible for the money and broker lead businesses and all front and back office operations.

Prior to moneysupermarket.com, Mr van der Meer spent nearly a decade in direct banking including senior positions with egg - the internet bank, Citigroup and the Anglo Irish Bank.
