Purple appoints Alec Finch as non-executive chairman

Purple Partnership has appointed Alec Finch as non-executive chairman effective from 1 July 2011.

Mr Finch, a fellow of The Chartered Insurance Institute and board member of the British Insurance Brokers' Association, founded the Alec Finch Group in 1983, which was sold to French broker Verlingue in 2007. He is also a director of the Worldwide Broker Network, which he founded in 1989.

In 2009, Mr Finch was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at Insurance Age's UK Broker awards.
