Ex-Coverzones boss to lead PowerPlace
Towergate-owned PowerPlace has announced the appointment of Simon Ball as chief executive officer effective 1 June 2011.
Mr Ball was previously the founder and CEO of Coverzones which ceased trading in May 2010. The assets of the commercial aggregator were later bought by the management team but the promised renewed launch never materialised.
Since Coverzones Mr Ball has worked as a consultant for a number of UK and international insurance businesses, advising on e-commerce strategy and related projects. Previous roles have included four years as commercial director at systems integration company, Salmon, before
