RSA's Scotland and Ireland chief heads for Aspen

Aspen, the Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer has made its first foray into the Scottish market with a high profile appointment in Glasgow.

Aspen’s new operation in the city will come under the Aspen Risk Management (ARM) brand and will be headed up by Annie Watson who has left her post as head of Scotland and Ireland at RSA.

Although Aspen would not comment on the appointment, it is understood that Ms Watson will be joining in mid-April.

ARM, which is headed up by former Fusion boss Kevin Pallett, currently has offices in London, Birmingham and Bristol and is also planning to establish a presence in Manchester or Leeds before the
